Edward Altshuler

Edward Altshuler is a graduate of Columbia University and Fairleigh-Dickinson
University.He has studied trumpet at the New England Conservatory and the Julliard
School with Marcel LaFosse, Andre Come, and William Vacchiano. Mr. Altshuler's
professional credits include numerous orchestral, ballet, and opera performances,
several Broadway shows including "Camelot" with Kathryn Grayson, "Kismet" with
Alfred Drake, "Annie Get Your Gun" with Ethel Merman, and "The Merry Widow" with
Patrice Munsel at the Richard Rogers Music Theater of Lincoln Centre. He has also
been a member of the Hudson Valley Philharmonic, the Hudson Valley Brass Quintet,
the Scott Joplin Ragtime Band, and has appeared in concert with Joey Heatherton,
Sergio Franchi, Jerry Vale, and Steve Allen.
More recently, Ed designed, developed, and manufactured the Resonance Brass line
of
Heavyweight Trumpet Mouthpieces. From 2002-2007, he played, taught, and
connected Northern California trumpet players with Resonance Brass products. Ed
also
coached the Sacramento Youth Symphony Brass, and founded the Youth Symphony
Brass Quintet, which has enjoyed many public performances. Now back in New York,
Ed resides in the Hudson Valley, which has been his home for nearly forty years.
